The Future of Anti-Ageing Technology

--

AgeTech is the science of getting old without getting older. Over the past 10–15 years, with the significant help of artificial intelligence, scientists have made huge strides in understanding the biology of ageing. Now, there’s a promise of extending both our longevity, and our health span.

In this issue of Wiser! Premium, I take a look at the science of AgeTech and the billions of dollars being pumped into an industry looking for the elixir of life. Can mankind live longer? Or just be healthier whilst we’re alive? And who are the firms behind the research and the technology that has already slowed the ageing process in mice.

With the use of artificial intelligence and massive computational power, scientists and researchers are moving quickly towards answering one of the oldest pursuits of mankind, eternal life!

The Eternal Search for Every-Lasting Life

The field of ageing research has made significant progress in the past 10–15 years. The goal is not simply to live longer, but to increase our healthspan, the number of years we live in good health. This is not just a pursuit of the vain. By 2050, it is predicted that 1 in 6 humans will be over 65 years old. The burden of caring for an ageing population is increasing.
